STKU Skincare Edition

LESS IS MORE. my focus has always been on nourishing my body from the inside out - this is key. hormones, sleep, hydration, exercise, lifestyle and food play a huge roll. i wanted to make this as easy as possible and give honest reviews of products i use and love.

it’s taken me 5 years of figuring out ‘non toxic’ products that work for me and i’m still learning as i go. here is my skin routine..

morning/night face: oil to milk cleanser is my go to. i apply it without water, just cleanser to skin and i massage it all over. after i rinse with warm water and pat my face dry, i spray a toner. i’m obsessed with the rose water facial toner from cocokind. mymatcha stick under my eyes for extra moisture or i’ll use the wild carrot nourishing eye balm from evanhealy. both are great, nourishing and give me a little glow. i’ll apply a few drops of the chia seed oil that makes my skin feel hydrated all year round and end with my go to sunscreen. that’s my morning and night routine, minus the sunscreen at night. 3-4 times a week i’d use my cocokind x STKU sea kale clay mask for the exfoliating, nourishing, delicious and glowing feel to my skin.

other extra’s i love: glow essence (not shown because i ran out), french rose clay mask, chlorophyll mask, turmeric toner spot treatment and my wildling gua sha tools for toxin drainage and keeping my skin looking tight.

daily body care: my absolute favorite all over moisturizer for my body is the conscious coconut oil. it absorbs quick into the body without staining any clothes or sheets, not sticky, smooth and scent is pretty neutral. i use it all over my body post shower.

the sunpotion shea butter i used when i was pregnant. i’d rub it on my belly, butt and thighs to reduce the chance of stretch marks. this helped a ton and is the ultimate skin food so still use it even after my babies. my feet, knees, elbows and hands benefit big time from this.

khus+khus body serum is therapeutic and relaxes the muscles/areas in the body. example - my belly postpartum with all the cramps i was experiencing, my shoulders, neck, legs, etc. it’s not something i use regularly but i love it and it comes in handy if i’m needing extra love in certain areas.

aleavia body cleanse is our go to. the whole family uses it and it’s sooooo gentle and smells amazing. it’s a prebiotic for the skin and it leaves it feeling refreshed, moisturized and clean.

hair care: rahua shampoo and conditioner is what i’ve been using for years now and i love it. the palo santo scent is glorious, hair feels clean, soft and i love how it lathers in the shower. i wash my hair 1-2 times a week so this stuff lasts a couple months. a little goes a long way. after my shower, whether i’m styling it or not, i spray the salt spray for some volume and texture and i usually let my hair air dry. if i’m feeling fancy, i whip out my supersonic and blow dry it within 4 minutes. yes, i’ve counted the time it takes. the only styling product i use for my hair is this sculpting pomade.

the ACV hair rinse i started using a few months ago after finding it on zero waste store in hopes to encourage hair growth. postpartum hair loss was real and prior to using it i had been experiencing tons of hair loss. might be the timing but my hair is growing back. not saying this is what did it because i believe it’s been my hormone work done with acupuncture and red light therapy but this, i love. i’ve definitely seen a difference with less dandruff, scalp feels clean and my hair feels strong. i use it 2x a week after my shampoo rinse, before conditioner.

oral care: the most important in my opinion and i love these. i’ve definitely tried LOTS of different toothpaste/mouthwash to figure out these are my jam. i start my day with tongue scraping. it’s such an addicting thing and so satisfying. it clears toxins, removes bacteria, improves overall health, reduces bad breath and enhances taste. you can use a spoon if you don’t want to buy one but i linked the one i have here.

this natural toothpaste is my favorite toothpaste. it cleans, whitens and leaves my teeth feeling good. i brush and use dr brite mouth wash twice a day. this mouth wash is the best, i love how my mouth feels afterwards. the charcoal toothpaste i use 1-2x a week to help whiten my teeth. i tongue scrape as well as floss 3x a day and i’ve seen a huge change in my teeth. so much stronger, whiter and my mouth feels clean all the time.

let’s not forget pit care: i started using “natural” deodorant back when i was pregnant with elliott. little did i know, all the ones i had tried and was still using, had unnecessary ingredients in them. postpartum is stinky so when i heard my friend who was making her own deodorant say “it works” i wanted to try it for myself. sure enough, this stuff is legit and i never had to look elsewhere. the smell is amazing, doesn’t stain clothes, i go all day with applying it once in the morning, made with real ingredients, organic and non toxic! been using it for 4 years now, got aj to try it and he loves it. my favorite scent is rose and i use the detox spray at night for extra armpit love.
