Mom’s Flauta Recipe

i’m making plans for you: whip up my mom’s flauta recipe 🤤

this one doesn’t disappoint and it’s a crowd pleaser. you only need a handful of ingredients, they’re quick + easy to make and INCREDIBLY delicious. not gonna say anymore - for a good time, get on it! you’ll need:

first, have your chicken shredded ready to go on one plate and another to put your rolled flautas on before frying. heat both your skillet and a separate pan at a medium. lightly coat your skillet where you’ll warm up the tortillas before rolling them with chicken. the other pan you’ll need to add about 1/4 cup of avo oil for frying. start warming tortillas in two’s, one on top of the other. careful to not leave them on for too long, you wanna make sure they’re flimsy.

start adding the chicken and/or whatever else you’d like on the tortilla and roll tightly. place them down on the end of the tortilla so they don’t unravel. place them in the frying skillet and start cookin!about 3-4 minutes on each side, til they get crispy.

top with romaine lettuce, cilantro and salsa for extra flavor. hope you love these as much as we do!

a pack of tortillas (we used siete cassava tortillas)

shredded chicken (i baked mine with salt, pepper and garlic powder and shredded the buy ranch direct chicken)

avocado oil because of its higher smoke point (used primal kitchen foods)

cheese of choice (miyokoscreamery cause bub is DF)

romaine lettuce

handful of fresh cilantro

salsa preferably homemade
